Proposed patch

And here is a second version of the patch which addresses both of the issues
with the first version.  It includes a test case to make sure that the libdep
plugin continues to work as expected, and it records which plugin added which
library search path, so that plugin sourced search paths are only used when
attempting to locate libraries sourced from the same plugin.
