There's a _lot_ of unprototyped function pointers in gprofng. These fail to
build with GCC trunk (defaults to -std=gnu23).

I have a patch to fix a bunch of them but I've not finished it. I'll finish off
most of it but some of it needs more nuanced handling and I'll leave that to
Vladimir.
