This sounds great.
One thing that comes to my mind is that the IDE I know of (Metrowerks CW)
does not have the same capacities as "make", for example when tracing
dependencies. This is very apparent with the Bison plugin I made: For
example, if one lets Bison output a header file and some other file
includes that file, this dependency is normally not discovered by the IDE.
So if GNU decides to do an IDE, I think that one requirement should be that
it has at least the capacity of "make".
