Bingo. I guess I should chime in here. I'm the person who makes the
Cygwin version of bison available. The reason that I'm making it
available is for the cygwin environment. That means gcc.
The fact that bison works/worked with MSVC is a happy accident. It
was definitely not a goal in any way.
