I remember the conversation about --no-parser and %no-parser. That
situation was a little different because there was almost no
implementation remaining that we could salvage.
For %token-table, the implementation is still basically usable. However,
the documentation is incomplete and the feature might be a little broken,
so the way forward needs more thought.
