Regardless of what the watchdogs discover, we cannot but return to one of the most asinine instances of misjudgment in the history of the nation. We build one factory after another to take advantage of the cheap labor in communist China, while we ignore the cheap labor in a democracy on the other side of our own border. Not to mention the cheap labor in all of South America. I now challenge you to think of at least the ten most important people in your life, and think of a nice craft (made by you) to give to them this year. It may be a traditional one that you have already planned, Great!, and if it includes the recipient helping to make it, Even Better! Try to start a few new traditions also, so that our future generations will have a little "extra" to remember about us. And to think that we expected China to forgo profit for principles, when it has obviously attached itself to the principle that the best way to defeat the capitalists is to do business better than they do. President Bush continues to row upstream in Iraq, even though the current seems to pick up speed every minute. In fact, he seems to be rowing up Niagara Falls. But he just keeps on going, despite the fact the majority of Americans are standing on the venerable Niagara tour boat, The Maid of the Mist, and calling out to him to quit already.
Back in the old days a miter saw held a blade that was attached to a box. The blade was perfectly angled to create 90 and 45 degree angles with a simple adjustment. This manual tool easily cut through frame, crown, or chair mouldings. It even made the cut when it came to exterior corners on baseboard mouldings. Perhaps that is why there are some people who still own and use this type of manual saw and find it perfectly acceptable. Release any of your stories, proof and excuses of why you haven't/can't move forward with implementing the strategies that will get you out of the rat race. They are illusions. And if you say that the economy is bad or you don't know how to begin, I'll scream! You DO know what you need to do and there are tons of people prospering right now.
