The current version of JMenu (up to Classpath CVS 2005.08.23)
does not reserve any extra pixels to the right of a JMenu with
shortcut/accelerator. This looks really bad, see attached screenshot.
It would be better to reserve a extra few pixels (2..3 or whatever
is used on the left) for the right margin...
(The screenshot shows the attached testcase running under both JDK 1.4.2
and Classpath CVS 20050823 on Linux with twm/ctwm as the window manager.
Note that the Classpath JMenu gets a spurios top-level window decoration...
but that is not part of this PR).
Compile and run attached testcase for a live demo. The same problem also
occurs for JPopupMenus.
