[Bug classpath/24494] New: Gfortran 4.1.0 Unable to compile source under win 98

I receive the following while attempting to compile fortran source:
GFORTRAN.EXE: _spawnv: No such file or directory

The fortran source code is from LINPACK "dgefa.f".

I'm running Windows 98 on PC-II but gfortran unable to complete compile of
fortran source.

Can gfortran support Windows 98 on Pentitiun II ?

gfortran binaries (mingw "native") downloaded from 
http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GFortranBinaries (10/15/2005 Build)
