[Bug swing/26027] New: The new element, added to JList, does not appear (regression since 0.20)

The new element, added to the list, does not longer appear. The incorrect work
can be observed with the List worlds in our Swing demo which has the button to
add new elements to the list.

This regression was introduced after applying the following two patches:

   (updateLayoutState): Removed unneeded special case for VERTICAL.

   (getCellBounds): Determine correct list width when having a
   layoutOrientation of VERTICAL.
   (maybeUpdateLayoutState): Don't consider the validation state of
   the list. 

The patch author is sure that the patches are correct and asked me to fill in
and assign this bug that will be fixed elsewhere.
