Have you tested the latest version? 

I havent seen the problem here but it is possible that it got fixed by this
patch:

        (setText): Throw InternalError from catch-block.
        * javax/swing/text/GapContent.java:
        (removed): Removed if-expression, changed '>' to '>='.
