That's a cute idea, but the license it claims to use (SCSL) is a problem. Plus,
most of the code that uses Base-64 decoders use a simple enough encode/decode
call, so just choosing one of the classes, and doing slight modifications to
support the change, is best.

Raif, do you have any comments on the patch in comment #3?

Of course, I'd vote for my implementation, in gnu.javax.net.ssl. However, it
looks like dog's version is the only one that wasn't written using another
source (as far as we know). That one may be best to use, from that perspective.
