Newer versions of libtool make AC_PROG_LIBTOOL an outdated alias for LT_INIT,
so if configure.ac really does need to do all the libtool checks, it should
really be done with the newer LT_INIT (with any relevant arguments to it)
instead of the older AC_PROG_LIBTOOL macro.
