The coreutils-5.1.1 build on GNU/Linux on PowerPC produces an apparent
infinite loop in this test:
Machinetype: Apple PowerMac G3 (267 MHz); GNU/Linux 2.4.19-4a
(Yellow Dog Linux release 2.3 (Dayton))
Remote gcc version: gcc (GCC) 3.2.2
Remote g++ version: g++ (GCC) 3.2.2
Configure environment: CC=gcc CXX=g++ LDFLAGS="-Wl,-rpath,/usr/local/lib"
...
make check-TESTS
make[3]: Entering directory `/local/build/coreutils-5.1.1/tests/misc'
A top command shows:
PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
5762 beebe 19 19 588 588 436 R N 13.4 0.3 104:27 paste
I killed that process, and the test is proceeding; more when it completes.
