If it is a bug, it is in AplX and not in coreutils.

It looks like the Apl tool is stripping \n characters from the output of ls.

ls does NOT output CR characters; POSIX does not permit that.  Typically,
Windows tools in general do not interact very well with POSIX tools.  You
are probably going to find more help by asking on a list that deals with
Windows issues (such as cygwin), or taking the issue to the Apl providers,
rather than here.
