I see your reference. However, there's something that's not
explained, or at least I'm not seeing. With the default on my system
(LC_COLLATE=en_US and LC_ALL=), what I see is difficult to understand:
close.fig
close.fig.bak
closeMap.epsi
closeMap.ps
close.ps
In the above output the "M" entries (lines 3 & 4) are in between 2 "."
entries (lines 2 & 5). I don't get it. Unless.... is it possible
that the "." is simply not sorted? Something like a wildcard?
