bug-textutils is obsolete, it was merged into bug-coreutils some time ago.

djgpp is probably not the best distribution to use.  Cygwin provides a
more up-to-date Unix-like environment on top of windows.

The -u option is present, as required by POSIX, for some time now.

Yes - the latest stable version of coreutils is 5.97, and beta 6.1 is also
available.
