The fact that you wrote the obsolete bug-fileutils list probably implies
that you are due for an upgrade.  fileutils was merged into coreutils.
The latest stable version is 5.97, and a beta 6.2 is out for preparation
for a stable 6.3 any day now.

Please consider using a different email address when posting to a public
