Thanks for the report.  Can you please post the relevant sections of your
config.log (if you don't know which section is relevant, posting the full
file is acceptable, although if it is large, you may want to gzip it
first).  What platform is this on?  Would you mind trying again with a
recent snapshot, to see if it has been fixed in the meantime?
