Cygwin rm.exe does not work with wildcard

To Whom It May Concern,

 

I am in the process of evaluating Cygwin.

 

I ran the following

C:\>rm.exe -f \\networkdrive\sharedfolder\cygwin\*.*
<file:///\\networkdrive\sharedfolder\cygwin\*.*> 

 

No files was removed.

 

Here is the version I am using

 

C:\>rm.exe --version

rm (GNU coreutils) 7.0
