DDD 3.3.1 (powerpc-apple-darwin5.2) gets Xt error, then signal 10

ddd crashes on startup, apparently because motif is missing or bad. 
After an Xt error, a bus error occurs.
I have XDarwin and lesstif installed (lesstif via fink) on Mac OS X.
Is ddd supposed to work under Mac OS X/lesstif?

The Signal 10 is  SIGBUS, I believe.
