Compilation errors during make!!

Hello,
  I have a Sun Blade 100, solaris 8 machine with GCC 3.1 
( Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/3.1/specs
  Configured with: ../configure --with-as=/usr/ccs/bin/as 
--with-ld=/usr/ccs/bin/ld --disable-nls
  Thread model: posix
  gcc version 3.1 ).

I tried compiling DDD 3.3.1 on my machine from source and encountered a
make error in file ddd/strClass.C. The error was fixed with the following
correction:

Line No. 1443: s.clear((ios::iostate)new_state);
