DDD 3.3.8 (hppa2.0w-hp-hpux11.00) gets `Signal 11' signal

Yesterday I was compiling the DDD version 3.3.8 for all the platforms 
that our Unix-team supports (Solaris 2.6, Solaris8, Linux glibc2.2, 
Linux glibc2.3, HPUX 10.20 and HPUX11.00). I used gcc/g++ version 3.3.2 
on all the platforms and the compilation went just OK on all the 
platforms. So did also "make check" on all the others, but not on HPUX 
11.00. On this platform when I say "make check" and when make tries to 
start the compiled ddd the program just dumps a core. The very same 
happens if I try to run ddd without any program to load.
