I tried now ubuntu 13.04 32 bit and cmp is faster there: 99% CPU , 120 MB/s
cmp -s uses less CPU, about 60% and throughput is full (130 MB/s)
sysresCD cmp -s : yes, again lower cpu usage (66%) and faster
operation (130 MB/s)
I would need a few hints for the profiling.
