[bug-gettext] make check fails at lang-bash on Mac OS X 10.5.8

Hi all.

I tried building gettext-0.19.3 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 (PPC,G5/Quad-Core).

The above fails at "make check" (I've tried with and without parallel-build.
I've done the 'make/$pmake check' 3 times and all tests, except 'lang-bash' 
passes:

I'm using the following autotool versions (upgraded from the stock Mac OS X):
m4 (GNU M4) 1.4.16
autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.69
automake (GNU automake) 1.14
libtool (GNU libtool) 2.4.2

-And my bash version (as shipped with Mac OS X 10.5.8):
GNU bash, version 3.2.17(1)-release (powerpc-apple-darwin9.0)


... So I did a grep -R 'lang-bash' * and found the 
gettext-tools/tests/Makefile; in there, I looked for lang-bash and found 
lang-bash.log:
So I looked for this file and compared it to some of the other lang-*.log files.

Even though the tests fail, I've proceeded with $pmake install, which succeeds.
Now, my question is: Will this affect other builds that depend on gettext ?
(I do not expect it, as I understand the test has to do with 'bash', but I'd 
like to get this confirmed, before I make one of my build-scripts public).
