Follow-up Comment #3:

Thanks for the report. The cause is a change in the line-breaking algorithm
(code in gnulib, that is packaged and distributed with libunistring). You
already found the commit that fixes it on the gettext side.

To avoid the test failures, you can build with the condigure option
--with-included-libunistring; then the older line breaking algorithm from the
gettext 0.22.5 sources will be used.

So, there is nothing more to do than to wait for the gettext-0.23 release.
