I am doing similar today with iMac to SMC 7008BR router/print server.
The SMC has a lp device wich accepts lpr commands.
I can get garbage out with LASERWRITER 8 interface to network printer,
similar
to you with SUN system.
I expect the device is ljet4.
and somewhere is the change to the original in doc/Unix-lpr.htm.
DEVICES="cdj550.24.dq cdj550.3.dq cdj550.1.dq deskjet djet500.dq"
I am trying to write the scripting as per MacGS 6.5 doc file
Unix-lpr.htm.
I f you have the syntax please reply.
