ldconfig bug in glibc-2.2

I have attached a patch for the file elf/ldconfig.c in
the glibc-2.2 release.  It's an obvious bug that
caused ldconfig to terminate on my Linux system with
the error message:

Can't stat .2

I don't know if this has been fixed already because
the bug database at

http://www-gnats.gnu.org:8080/cgi-bin/wwwgnats.pl

seems not to work anymore.
