Can you give more information about the tests you did? Linux uses (by
default) a different method for emulating floating point to ADS, and I suspect
this is the cause of your performance loss. It's also possible that glibc is
a little slower, but I doubt this would account for the factor of 50 or so that
you seem to be seeing.
