Bug in 2.2.3

I am upgrading from 2.1.3 with gcc 2.95.2, latest binutils, make etc
..

When doing make install, I always get this error at the end of make
install process (which I run as root of course) :

/usr/local/bi/perl scripts/test-installation.pl sysdeps/../ :

/usr/lib/libnss_compat.so: undefined reference to `__niserr2nss_tab'
/usr/lib/libnss_compat.so: undefined reference to `__niserr2nss_count'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Execution of gcc failed!

I do not have any links to old libs. Actually 2.2.3 is already
installed as the only glibc. I do not have libc 5.

I just wanted to re-install, as I have some problems with linking,
which you have documented in FAQ, but which still fail, although my
/usr/lib/libc.so is a text file as required.

Some of my statically linked programs have problems after I installed
2.2.3, especially those that require domain name resolution.

Seems I will have to rebuild them all .

I have downloaded 2.2.3 and linuxthreads from your German mirror , as
required.

So, are there any cures ??
