Well, first `make clean && make all' and then it's just a workaround and
not a fix. If make cannot resolve dependencies properly then it's a bug
in Makefiles. Glibc's Makefiles are not straightforward but that is not
an excuse for keeping them buggy. If my solution is not the right one,
please propose a better one -- I'm open to a discussion.
I've been using `make clean all' since 2.0.94 up to 2.2.3 successfully.
Such an invocation has a well-defined semantics -- see `info make'.
