It is in official use. When we display the 12hour format of time we indicate 
the am/pm sign after
the time like in the other countries. Windows displays the time in this format 
(am/pm format) on
the taskbar. I don't thing a reason why Linux cannot display correct the Greek 
time in 12hour
format.
