Bug in setsockopt with SO_REUSEADDR |

Hi
I'm in trouble trying to port an application from HP-UX to Linux.
The call setsockopt does not work as it should.
In 'man pages 2 bind' it is mentioned that the socket in the filesystem
must be deleted by using the unlink command. But I don't know
from where I can get the information like path and filename for
the unlink command.
OS Version: RedHat 2.2.16-3smp
gcc egcs-2.91.66
glibc 2.1.3-21
I can't upgrade the system because of purchased drivers etc.
Please help
Regards
Ray
