Hi,

to save time I tried to do a 'make install' on an new computer on a NFS-mounted /usr/src_somewhere/glibc-build directory. On the 'somewhere'-computer I performed before the normal configure-make-'make install' cycle. Both computer has relatively similar software configuration (new computer: linux-2.4.17 no gd, 'somewhere': linux-2.4.16-pre1 with gd-1.8.3 installed last december).
The 'make install' of the new computer stops by:

make[2]: Entering directory `/disk/molbio17_usr_src/Libs/glibc-2.2.4/malloc'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/local/include/gd.h', needed by `/usr/src_molbio17/Libs/glibc-build/malloc/memusagestat.d'. Stop.

I don't understand, how the dependency to graphic header file gd.h can enter in the glibc Makefiles. Do you have any ideas?

   With best regards
       Juergen
