error while installing glibc on solaris 8

Hello,

 

I am facing problem while installing glibc on SUN solaris 8. Below shown is the error. Pls help me in this regard

 

# ./configure                                                      
creating cache ./config.cache                                      
checking host system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.8                  
*** The GNU C library is currently not available for this platform.
*** So far nobody cared to port it and if there is no volunteer it 
*** might never happen.  So, if you have interest to see glibc on  
*** this platform visit

*** and join the group of porters
