volunteer Aix/other glibc port

Hi,
Can someone tell me how to proceed onto the AIX port ? I would like to
do AIX port for the glibc . Later once i have done with it i would like
to take up port for some other arch if time permits.
I mean how do i start without the initial headers (no copying from
propreitary systems). 

If AIX is already done then someone assign me a arch . I will read up on
the arch and tell you if i would be able to help out .
