Under RedHat 9 (which has libc2.3.2) Pegasus (compiled with
PEGASUS_DEBUG=on)
coredumps when debugging under gdb 5.3 (and also the latest snaphost of
GDB from gdb CVS).
As far as I know, gdb doesn't really work with NPTL yet,
though the latest CVS version might. Also, the NPTL
in RH9 is a bit long in the tooth; there have been
a lot of fixes since then. Not sure how up-to-date they are.
You might try running with Linuxthreads (you just have
to set an environment variable, I think) for the moment
when debugging...
Ask around on the NPTL mailing list to see what status of
gdb and nptl is, maybe. See
