                Dear Friends,
        I am trying to install glibc 2.3.2 .
        I have :
        user                    = test
        group           = users
        system type     = i686-pc-linux-gnu
        kernel          = 2.4.19-4GB
        Operating sys.  = linux Suse 8.1
        gmake                   = 3.79.1
        gcc                     = 3.2
        msgfmt          = 0.11.5
        makeinfo                = 4.2
        sed                     = 3.02.80
        as                      = 2.13.1
        ld                      = 2.13.1
        perl                    = 5.8
        autoconf                = 2.53
        /lib/libc.so.6

        I give :
        cd /program
        tar -xvf glibc-2.3.2.tar
        cd glib-2.3.2
        tar -xvf glibc-linuxthreads-2.3.2.tar
        cd /program
        mkdir glibin
        mkdir /usr/glibc-2.3.2
        chmod 777 /usr/glibc-2.3.2
        cd glibin
        /program/glibc-2.3.2/configure --prefix=/usr/glibc-2.3.2 --enable-add-
ons=linuxthreads
        ==>>> every things is OK
        make
        ==>>> every things is OK
        but when i try
        make check
        after about 35 minutes , the process goes in hang up with this message
displayed :

        /bin/sh -e run-iconv-test.sh /program/glibin >
/program/glibin/iconvdata/iconv-        test.out
