inquiry about libio

Hi,

I was looking glibc 2.2.5 source code.I found that the source code for standard I/O functions are referred from libio

 folder because the macro USE_IN_LIBIO is defined.

 

please inform me about

1.The difference between libio and stdio.  

2. what is the use of vtable and streambuf in libio.
