glibc on solaris

I have downloaded glibc-2.3.2 on a Solaris2.8 system. The INSTALL file claims 
that even though this is not supported, version 1.09.1 ran on 
sparc-sun-solaris2.x . I am getting errors however:

Have you any ideas?
