Oh.  I'm afraid that such problems are a bit over my head.  I'm just
looking after the locales, and trying to clean out spam from
libc-bugs@ on gmane.org, and do not really have any influence on the
behavior of the glibc maintainers.

Good luck trying to get the mips fixes into glibc.  You might have
success talking to the Debian maintainers, as they are also working on
the MIPS port.
