How do you use CVS to get a CLIBC snapshot |

Hi,
I have never had to use CVS before so I am not familure with how to use
it and where to get basic FAQ's on how to use it. I have used RCS and I
use SCCS/CSSC depending on which OS I am using.
I wish to do two things:
1) See if there are any changes from glibc-2.3.3 for various files.
I have found an error regarding the initfini.c compilation and I want
so see if there are any changes to the associated Makefiles since
glibc-2.3.3. (If optimisation is not turned off during the compilation
of the initfini.c file, the behavior of GCC is not garanteed to produce
a initfini.s file that is of any use to the subsequent sed scripts).
2) I which to obtain diffs for the glibc-20040827 smapshot from
glibc-2.3.3 so that I can try something out.
Can someone either point me in the right direction with regard to
appropriate FAQ's on how to use CVS or give me a list of steps to follow.
The list of steps is preferable.
Regards
Mark Fortescue.
