ATTENTION SIR.
 
ILOAMUGO ORPHANAGE CENTRE is located at 15, Campbell Street, Lagos in 
Nigeria. My late father, Rev. JAMES ILOAMUGO in order to change 
attitudes of childcare, founded it in 1974. It raised more than 1,600 
orphans by the time He was alive, until his date in 1998. This lead to 
my taking over of the organization. 
 
Today, this centre housed children whose parents were dead, in hospital 
or jail, had no home to go to, abandoned or who were otherwise ill-
treated or could not be cared for. The camp serviced 2,125 children.
 
The centre is as big like an institution and as much like a home as it 
is possible to have it. Good food, free play, and regular hours of 
sleep were balanced with a certain amount of housework. The children 
learned about kitchen and garden methods, housekeeping, hunting and 
gathering and well as baseball, music, and general play. The influence 
of trees, flowers, birds, nature and the personal touch of Christian 
workers provided an uplifting effect on children who had only known 
life in crowded, dirty tenements where poverty and general wickedness 
held the norm. The centre is also to keep young boys off the street and 
to build strong character within each child.
 
Due to the economic situation in the country, we have not been able to 
carry out our goals successfull.Therefore, we are humbly seeking your 
assistance in kind, or cash to enable us continue the Gods' work.
 
The assistance we are seeking is to enable us improve the quality and 
accessibility of basic education for children in the areas of early 
childhood development and primary learning and supports efforts to 
assist orphans and vulnerable children in achieving their full 
potential as individuals and as members of society.
