I am using GNU Make.

The patch for Makefile.am that I sent fixes a very common error in packages
using autotools.

If you disagree with me, then I suggest you try to build glpk such that
srcdir != builddir, and I'm sure you'll see that it fails to locate certain
header files (or if it does, it's picking them up from the wrong location,
such as perhaps installed versions).

Ok, actually, I just tested and verified.  If you have glpk already
installed, and build a new version of glpk where srcdir != builddir, then
it does pick up the glpk headers already installed.
