assemble problem for PowerPC 860?

 hi everybody, I was trying to compile gmp for PowerPC 860.  The host is Sun/Solaris, the target is VxWorks, PowerPC 860.  I set the configure option as --target=powerpc-wrv-vxworks.  However, the compiler complained about the .toc and .csect directives.  When I checked WindRiver manual, it seems .toc and .csect are specific for RS/6000 XCOFF format only.

  I wonder whether this is a bug?  did anybody successfully compile gmp for ppc860 or ppc680 before?
