Greetings,
I hope this is the right place to be sending a message
like this. I am running RedHat 6.2 on a 300 MHz PI, and
I have xboard installed as a gui for gnu chess. However,
I am unable to get this program to compile on my system.
When I try (i.e. type: ./configure ; make), I get the
following error message:
gcc -c -03 -Winline -Wmissing-prototypes -funroll-loops
-fomit-frame-pointer -DUNIX atak.c
atak.c: In function 'GenAtaks':
atak.c:173: fixed or forbidden register 7 (sp) was
spilled for class GENERAL_REGS.
This may be due to a compiler bug or to impossible asm
statements or clauses.
make: *** [atak.o] Error 1
At which time the compilation ceases. Could you either
suggest a course of action, or else point me in the
right direction for some help? Thanks a bunch.
Mike Shirley
