Hi,
have finally committed some M4 macro changes, and related files
to CVS.
These should;
1. Substitute getopt_long if it isn't in libc (it is part of GNU
libc).
2. Supply compiler and linker options for Posix threads on
non-GNU platforms.
3. Create an unsigned integer type for 64 bits on platforms
without stdint.h. Previously a hack was made to ac_need_stdint_h
macro, but this time I used the newer ac_create_stdint_h macro.
However testing these non-GNU platforms is a mite difficult as I
don't have access to any that don't belong to clients. If you
have any to hand with a suitable C compiler, I would appreciate
knowing if this resolves the outstanding build issues.
Specific problems reported by Anders affect Solaris, and AIX.
I will test Cygwin soon.
"./configure ; make ; make install" should work everywhere -
well that is the goal.
Thanks,
Simon
