I have  heard people saying  in disgust that  they will never try  out a
mail reader that by default empties their mailbox and writes it out in a
different format.   For me,  rmail was my  first mail reader,  but after
having been shown the way other ones behave, I agree that rmail's way is
far too aggressive.
