got Wrong type argument: stringp, nil when clicking on an error line in the compilation buffer (sometimes the file is opened correctly however)

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

When clicking on an error line in the compilation buffer,
sometimes the file is opened on the correct line.
Once the error message "Wrong type argument: string, nil"
is show (when clicking on such an error line),
it will always re-appear.
The compiler is MS C/C++.

Clicking on the 1 & 2 error line brings you to the file
Clicking on the 3 gives the error.
Clicking on the 1 or 2 again will also result in
the given error once it occured for error line 3
