Yes, it is. Now
(string-match "[[:lower:]]" "ß")
==> 0
this returned nil in older Emacs versions. "ß" had been treated as
subword start before that commit beebd2a85e but isn't any more.
So everything seems to work fine now, and I'm thus closing this report.
