Cool, thanks.  Looks reasonable.

In my perfect world, the `register-commands-data' would not be specified
as a list but also using methods.  Maybe also
`register-preview-get-defaults'.

I will have a closer look tomorrow, had been a little busy so that I
just now returned to this thread.
